Owlz Game

Considering the fact we used to go to EVERY home game (since Eli worked there) a few years ago, our one and only trip to a Orem Owlz game was well worth the trip. Ellie had a blast...

Grady was a little hesitant at first, but as you can see it didn't take him long to warm up and "swing" at the ball to hit a bomb.

We had a blast, Orem won, we caught up with friends, there's just nothing like a night at the ballpark!

Eli's Office

So, I waited pretty long to post this all with good reason, promise, but we are so proud of Eli. Back in June he signed his permanent contract with State Farm. Even though it's a lot of work, Eli loves his job and his employees, what more could you ask for, right? He's put in many long hard hours and there are many more to come, but we are so grateful for the business and for Eli for making it happen! To our rock star!!

Honey Whole Wheat Crust

This pizza crust is awesome, and not too hard, for a pizza crust I guess??!

Ingredients:
1 TBS Honey
1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110 degrees F)
1 TBS active dry yeast
1 TBS olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
about 1 1/2 to 2 cups all purpose flour

Put your water in the mixing bowl of your kitchen aid (or whatever standing mixer you have) and add the honey. I mix the honey around for a second just to help it dissolve a little. Then pour your yeast over the top and let it set until it starts to get foamy. Then stir in, I use the paddle attachment, the olive oil and salt into the yeast mixture. The add all of the whole wheat flour and mix. Then switch to the kneading hook attachment and add the all purpose flour 1/2 at a time until the dough starts to pull away from the sides. You don't want to add too much flour or the dough will be stiff and hard. Keep in mind also that you will be adding a little more flour when you roll out the dough. When the dough starts to pull away, stop adding flour and let knead for about 2 minutes. After that, pull the dough out and use olive oil to coat the bowl (or you can get another bowl oil it and then transfer the dough to there).Cover loosely with a towel and let stand in a warm place until double, or about 1 hour. Then punch the dough down and let rise for another 30 to 45 minutes. Preheat your oven to 425 degree F, and lightly grease a jelly roll pan. Lightly flour a surface and roll out dough to about the size of the jelly roll pan. Place the dough on the pan and push it out so it covers the pan. Then top with whatever your heart desires, and bake for about 17 minutes.

Oh, my so it's been a really long time. Well this post is all about Ellie, a Grady post coming soon...no I promise. So Ellie is now 9 months old and could quite possibly be the most happy baby on the planet. Seriously this girl is hardly ever NOT smiling. She is amazing!

Seriously this smile melts my heart! She is now crawling EVERYWHERE and she even pulls herself up to things and walks around them. It keeps our lives interesting, especially Grady who is learning to pick up the things he doesn't want destroyed! She loves music, her baby doll (who we just call baby doll, really original, huh?), her big brother (every morning when I set her on the ground, she immediately crawls straight to his room), her mommy and dad, and last but not least FOOD. This is pretty foreign to us since we are usually trying all stops to get Grady to eat!! OH, and I almost forgot, she loves SLEEP. She has been sleeping through the night for a really long time, what more could you ask for.

Finally I am getting a post up on our Ellie girl!??!! She was born on July 12th, and is the sweetest little thing ever. She was 6 lbs 2 oz and 18.5 inches long. She is such a good baby, she only cries when she's supposed too. What more could you ask for??

Lots of people have asked how Grady has been adjusting, and luckily he LOVES her. He always wants to be around her and play with her. I feel so lucky to have these two, they are the best kids ever, and they are mine! I love them!

Tait's Basketball Games in Washington

This is a post that I REALLY should have done a long time ago! At the beginning of March, Eli and Grady were so lucky and got to go up to Eli's little brother Tait's basketball State Tournament in Washington. Eli and Grady were both so excited to go and both had so much fun watching basketball and hanging out with Amma and Papa. And since the least I could do is post some pictures to tell them both thank you (and that we are glad you made it back to the hotel safe Papa at 3 in the morning when Grady was in great need of chocolate milk), here they are:

Our NEW News

We've had so many big changes in our family this last little while, so I thought I should probably update what has been going on with us lately.

Back in November Eli found out that he got a job as a State Farm agent in Salt Lake County. He won't know exactly were until sometime after June 1st, but it WILL be in Salt Lake County. We are so excited for this next step in our life, and I am so proud of Eli for ALL his hard work and late nights, he has had many and there will be many more to come. With that, he has been training which includes traveling quite frequently to Phoenix. He gets to enjoy the 70 degree weather while we have 20 degree weather. We miss him TONS while he is gone, but we have a lot of help and support from others which has been such a blessing!

Also, back in November we found out that baby #2 is on the way, due in July 2010. We are so excited for a new addition to our family!

Grady is getting so big, and I really can't wait to see how he will interact with the new baby, it will be interesting! Right now he will give my tummy kisses and then hit it?! He is talking up a storm, which is so fun, and right now his obsession is basketball, he loves the Jazz, the Huskies and the Cougars. He puts on quite the show when any of the above are on. He is too much fun!

Also, Grady and I recently went up to Washington to visit family and had so much fun! (I didn't take a lot of pictures, because I am horrible and taking them, but I will post the ones I did take soon!) We were so sad to leave and can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Basically that catches you up on us, for now!

Funny Story....or Not? I'll Let YOU Decide

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to laugh or cry at this story? So I will tell you and you tell me what you think....
So, last week Eli had a rec league basketball game which was at 8:30, which is really cutting it close to Mr. G's bedtime, but because my son is in LOVE with basketball or "foop" as it is know around our house and in love with his Dad, I decided I would be a "nice" mom and let him stay up a little late to watch his Dad play foop. Turned out to be NOT SUCH a good idea. For about the first half of the game I was fighting a screaming child who wanted to run down on the court and play with his dad. But, after the first half, there was another other court right next to the one Eli was playing on that was just sectioned off by a curtain and wasn't being used anymore, so I took Grady over and turned him loose on that court while I set in the middle of both so I could watch Eli and keep an eye on Grady. Oh how smart I thought I was! With about two minutes left in the game, I am watching very intently Eli's game and not so intently Grady, when I hear my little man say, "Mama, ut oh", I immediately look over at Grady who is walking very cautiously over to me when all of a sudden I see what he is "UT OH"-ing. Mr. G, who has recently found it interesting to stick his hands down his pants, front and back, had his cute little hands covered in what he likes to call "poo poo". I was dying. I had left all of my stuff, including wipes, over by all the people, and this was my first time in this place so of course I had NO idea were the restroom was! By the time I had finished cleaning him up, the game was over and Eli was out waiting for us. It was sort of a nightmare, but also kind of funny as well??!!! I told Eli that Grady had lost his "Go to Dada foop" privlideges for a while. My child! :)

We had a VERY fun Halloween! I think that I had forgotten how much fun Halloween was when I was little, and kids help you remember! Grady was a cute little monkey and had a blast trick or treating. After one door he had gotten the concept, except he thought that once the door was opened they were inviting him in, but he happily walked from house to house taking his handful of candy. What a funny kid! We had a family Halloween Party too that was a blast! We hope that everyone had a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Slesk Family 2009 Annual Park City Trip

So it is now an official annual trip. We have done it for the last 3 years, and hope that we can do it EVERY year, our trip consists of a drive up AF Canyon and then around the Alpine Loop which drops us down in to Provo Canyon through Sundance and then we drive up through Heber and on to my favorite place in Utah, PARK CITY! It was a gorgeous drive which always reminds how beautiful of an area we live in, and gave us some time away from everything (exept for the fact that Eli kept getting score updates on the football games that were going on every few minutes, can't live without our college football!) :) Here are some pictures from our trip:

HeY HEy heY, Summer 2009 Where did you go?

*I started this post about a month ago, but haven't quite finished it, but I thought I would give you a little something new to look at. I will do a new/finish another post sometime soon??!!

We have a had a CRAZY summer. So much fun, work and play! Here is a little picture journal of a little of the Slesk 2009 Summer (just a warning, it will be a little long!).

Val and I ran a 5k. It was a BLAST! ANd NO that is not Val's sweat, she dumped water on herself in case you were wondering. HA!
Ate some cake with Heath to celebrate his big number one. The poor little guy was sick with croupe on his birthday. Nothing a little cake can't help with.
Went to St. George for a wedding and got to enjoy the 110 degree weather. Thank goodness for swimming pools and congrats Trav!

My little brother Ryan got home from his mission the beginning of August (I didn't take pictures but Val did on her blog if you want to see), it is so good to have him home and hear his cute little Spanish accent! To spend time together my family decided to all take a trip to Miami. We had a blast! Here are some pics from that trip:

We went to the beach it was fun. It was also Grady's first time, once he realized that we don't eat sand, he had a much more enjoyable experience!
We hung out at the house. Grady likes to rock the shades, but only for about 10 seconds!

We went to a dolphins game. Grady had a lot of fun dancing, clapping and pointing and yelling "cackle" or tackle as we know it. Miami was fun, we will definitely have to go back!

We also got to go to the zoo. I think that I enjoyed it more than Grady and Eli, for some reason the zoo just brings out the kid in ya!

Aloha! Hawaii Vacation

We were able to spend a week in Hawaii and leave Grady with Amma & Papa up in Washington. We had some fun, definitely got some sun, and tried to make the most out of our time there. Here's some pictures.

Waikiki Beach was the first beach that we went to.
The next day we visited Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. That was a neat experience. They showed us a pretty touching video before we went out to the memorial.

That same day we were able to hit up a couple of beaches on the North Shore as well as visit the Dole Plantation.

The next couple of days we did a mixture of beaches and hikes. The Beach pictures are at Kailua Beach Park. The water is nice and blue there and pretty calm. We ended that day by going to the night show at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was cool. Worth the $10 we were able to get in for, but probably not the $50 it usually costs.

Our favorite hike was to Manoa Falls. The falls weren't all that spectacular, but the hike was beautiful. It was like walking through the jungle. We tried to get some good pictures, I'm not sure they do it justice though.

We took a lot of pictures. Here's just a few more. Thanks Amma and Papa for watching Grady. As you can see, we were pretty tired after the busy week of vacationing.

SPRINGTIME

We love springtime at our house for a couple reason, warmer weather, and a visit from Eli's family! This year we got to see Papa, Amma and Tait for a whole week and loved every second of it. We also met up with Jenny, Will, Tommy, and Connie and Frank who were visiting and went to yummy Paridise Bakery.
Along with the warmer weather, Grady finally gets to get out of the house and play, and LOVES it. He is such an outside person. He loves to play on the playground by our house. He also loves taking walks, and basketball hoops. We took a walk on Sunday and every time we passed a basketball hoop he would point at it and try to climb out of his stroller, a couple of times, if the hoop was low enough, Eli would take him over to it and let him hang on it for a couple of seconds. It made his day! Here are some pictures from the WONDERFUL spring we have had already...

No, it's not Christmas, it's MARCH MADNESS! We LOVE college basketball at our house, so we decided to share our love with our family and invite them over for a PARTY. We even dressed Max and Grady for the occasion. Grady is sporting my team and Max is sporting Eli's. We are so sad that it has to end, but are happy that Papa, Amma and Tait can share the end with us!

Just in Case You Were Wondering.......

Well, just in case you all were wondering what Grady, I mean we were up to, here is an update. YEAAAHH! I recently have tried cooking, a BIG stretch for me, but I LOVE it! I am trying my hardest to be more domestic and despite many failed attempts I think I might be starting to get the hang of somethings, I've got a LONG way to go. I also have tried sewing more since Eli is the BESTEST husband in the whole world and got me a sewing machine for Christmas! BEST PRESENT EVER!!!! That's really all that's new with me.

Eli has been working REALLY hard lately. He is studying to take the test to be licensed to sell securities, and on top of that has been working extra hard on putting together a business plan for his interview with State Farm in March. We are very excited to see were this next year takes us. We will keep you posted.

Last but not least Grady, my MONSTER. He had his 9 month appt today and is doing fabulous. Here are his game time stats....he is 70th perc for height, 30 perc for weight and his sweet little head is in the 20th perc (heheehehe). He has the tiniest head. I love it! NO joke this kid is EVERYWHERE. Sometimes I can't keep up with him. He has got the FUNNEST little personality and makes us laugh so hard. Well here are some pictures to back me up.....

He still has a fascination with the bath and his ducks. He sticks the whole head in his mouth.

I honestly DON'T know where this came from because I HATE doing it, but Grady LOVES "helping" me with laundry. Everytime I open the laundry room door, he drops whatever he is doing to crawl as fast as he can in with me to help. Understand his helping consists of pulling out all the clothes I put in the basket, but hey it's the thought that counts, right?

Another Great Christmas

It's taken me a while to get these up, weird, but here they are. We had so much fun up in Washington! We are very glad that we made it home ok. It was quite a interesting task to get up there and then get back, but we made it safely! We had so much fun seeing and hanging out with family. We love them all so much. Grady had a great first Christmas and got lots of fun toys! We hope you all had a great Christmas and that you have a wonderful NEW YEAR!

Grady got to hang out with cute Avery (we missed Heath!). They are so cute together, and I can't wait until they are all old enough to really play together, they will have so much fun!

We got new hats, Grady's was made by Eli's little cousin Seth who made it all by himself!

We used Billy and Jamie's snow shoes to explore all the beautiful snow. It was quite the workout!

And best of all we got to spend all day with family and with Grady. What a great blessing family's are! Thanks Papa and Amma for letting us visit, we love you!

Bigger and Better Things

I really need to stop doing this to myself and go so long in between posts, because then I have like a million things to talk about. I will make it short though. So our BIGGEST news is that we only have 12 more days until we make our way up to the beautiful NorthWest to see Papa and Amma and all the fam. We are SO excited and can hardly wait! Eli and I both had our birthdays a couple weeks ago and both enjoyed them. For our birthday we went to the Coldplay concert and since Val didn't use the saying in her blog, I will "Viva La Awesome"! (thanks Val!) They were excellent. That's pretty much it on us, Grady on the other hand is were this gets long! :) He has mastered the army crawl which is really cute, but is really hard because I didn't think that I would have to childproof my house this early! He now has not one but TWO teeth. Both of his bottome ones are now poking through. He is at the age were he really has favorite things! Thinks that he LOVES and things that he really dislikes. Instead listing all these, I will explain with pictures. Here goes.....

DOGS - He has a real fascination with dogs, he just LOVES them

CURIOUS GEORGE AKA "CJ" - We CANNOT leave home without him, and Grady has a ritual with him, he sees him and gives him hugs, a kiss and then rubs his face in his face.

CRAWLING - He looks so cute and innocent, but really he is a little monster!

SITTING UP ALL BY HIMSELF - I think this picture explains itself, he feels so big when he sits up on his own.

EATING "BIG BOY" FOODS - If you eat in front of him, be prepared to hear some grunting from Grady as a way of saying, I want some too!

TAKING BATHS - Don't worry they are censored!

He is so fun and such a BIG boy! I love the stage he is in now and am going to try to keep him in it. I will you all know if I am successful!

Oh, and we also wanted to congratulate Jeff and Stacey on their new baby girl, I have checked their blog every few minutes to see pictures. I am dying to see her cute face. We are glad that she is here and everything went well! Love you guys!

From Grady Baby to Big Boy

It all happens so fast, my little one is now 6 months old!!!! He had his 6 month Doctors appt. and was 27 inches (60th percentile) and 16 lbs 14 ounces (30th percentile). Everything looked normal and great! He is officially army crawling everywhere!!! AHAHAAHAH! As I type this he is crawling to get the computer cord. CRAZY baby! Here are some recent pics of my BIG man!!
P.S. That IS hair on top of his head, and it is blonde! Where did Eli and I get a blonde haired blue eyed child?? I don't know, but we will keep him!

After reading this article regarding the protest that occured at the LA Temple last week, that was sent to me by a friend, I felt like I needed to comment. The article was written by an LDS police officer who was called to help keep the protesters in control and gives his account on the incident. (this is the link in case anyone would like to read it http://www.ldsmag.com/ideas/081110hate.html)
It seems like so many times I have seen on TV a particular group protested against or "hated on" for lack of a better term, but when I saw people protesting and writing on a place that I hold very sacred and think of as a place of refuge from the world and all the hate and bad things that are it, it hit me pretty hard. It literally hurt my heart, but at the same time made me so happy, thankful and incredibly grateful for the freedoms that I have. How thankful I am that I can worship how I want, and also how thankful I am for the temples and the AMAZING place they are. At the end of the article the author wrote down what he learned from witnessing and being a part of the incident first hand, and I think it is something that we can all learn from and I know I will take into account in my life. He said:

Lessons Learned

Tolerance is not agreement and should not be a one way street. However, we must still remain tolerant of those who are intolerant of us.

Recognize the adversary at work here – making good seem bad and evil seem good.

We can only be disciples of Christ when we respond to adversity in a Christlike manner. To do less opens our actions to the influence of the adversary and hurts us even more.

We should never take for granted the opportunities we have to gather together in worship. We should never put off the opportunity to attend the temple. For these valuable things can be disrupted and possibly even closed to us – if not permanently, then at least on a temporary basis.

And finally, have no doubt President Monson knows where all of this is leading. He will surely reveal the knowledge to us on the Lord's timetable. Meanwhile, we must support and trust him, his inspired councilors, and our inspired local leaders in our actions. Their actions of Christian courage will be our examples.

I normally would not post stuff like this, but it just hit me so hard. So many times I have taken for granted the liberties that I have and after reading this article, I will never again be ignorant or ungrateful for my liberties, my country and my God who created it all.

Halloween Party

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We had a halloween party at my parents house the other day with all my family. It was a blast. We ate good food, played games and carved pumpkins. Everyone looked so awesome in their costumes! Me and Eli were my mom and dad if you couldn't tell. Eli even cut his hair like my dad's. I was surprised that Grady lasted the whole night in his costume. I think he just loved the attention that he got! He is funny!

Ice Cream and Cake

Altough you may think this is a post about Grady eating ice cream and cake, you'd be mistaken. Eli, I and Grades went to a High School football game where they played a song called "Ice Cream and Cake". I'm am SOOOO in trouble. It's been a little while??!! Between our year end close at work, and being a wife and a mom, I've found little time for blogging. It seems you go through life waiting for it to slow down so you can breathe, but somehow it just gets more and more busy. Go figure?? Well just to catch everyone up on what happened the last month, Eli and Grady went up to Washington the first of Sept and I was SOOOOOO jealous. I had to work and was left at home dreaming of the R&R at the Slesk homestead, BYU and Washington (heated) college football, Marineers baseball, cute babies and good seafood. They had so much fun though and I must thank everyone in WA for making my family feel so at home. I am so blessed to have such great families! Grady had his 4 month appt, of which I ended up taking two days off for, I went the first time and was a week early!! (has anyone else done this before??) I felt PRETTY dumb. He was 15 lbs 15 oz, 27 1/2 inches long and as healthy as can be! The Doctor even told us to start feeding him cereal and some baby food, so we did, and he LOVES it. I've pureed some fruit, and got some vegetable food there is nothing he wont eat. He still loves walks, holds his own bottle now, has mastered the frowny face and he has officially found his feet!!! Well I guess that catches you up a little on our lives, here are some pictures to back up the events....

Lately it seems as though I am in a time warp. No matter how hard I try to slow time down, it doesn't want to co-operate??? What's up with that??? So Grady is now almost 4 months old and so extremely fun! He is always doing something new. He is getting really smart too. We love our little guy. We moved into a condo in Lehi a few weeks ago and really like it. It is nice and roomy, and closer to my work, a little further for Eli, but not much. Other than that we just hang out and play with little Grady boy. So here are some random pictures (aren't they always)! I'm not very good at themeing them.

Grady's first Huskie game (on tv, he is going with Eli to the BYU vs. Washington game next week). He was so excited for the game to start that it made him tired! It's a shame he wasted all his energy being excited! Thanks Aunt/Grandma Connie for the tee shirt! It is so cute on him!

It has been almost a month since my last post, SORRY! So much has been going on and Grady has changed SO much! I thought it would fun to fill you in on a list of Grady's favorite things lately.

1. Smiling-Grady has started smiling a lot. The cutest though is when he really gets happy and excited and giggles. It melts my heart! :)

2. Talking-along with his giggles, my little guy is pretty talkative. Especially to his dad!

3.Toys-he is just starting to really be fascinated by objects, especially those that are bright or play music. His favorites are his whoozit (thanks Olson's) and his little play gym that he lays under that has a butterfly, a duck and a bear that plays music hanging from it. He is so funny with them! I can lay him under his toy and he will just laugh, smile and talk back to the bear that is singing to him! I swear he could lay under this for hours!

4. Eating- of course! That's what my little guy does best! At his last doctors appointment he weighed 12 lbs 8 oz! Yeah Grady!!

5. Eli's State Championship Ring-(I don't think Grady likes or enjoys it as much as his Eli did putting it on him and taking pictures of it), but don't worry Eli Grady is still proud of you for winning the state championship in 1999.

6. His hands?? Just this last week he has had this weird obsession with eating his hands. He literally will but almost his whole fist into his mouth. They must taste good?

7. Getting his pants put on his head- Eli LOVES to put Grady's pants on his head, but for some strange reason, Grady really enjoys it. He does look pretty cute though!

8. His EYES-ok this is MY favorite thing about my little man. He has got beautiful blue eyes and these extremely long eyelashes that he definitely got from his father! I LOVE THEM!!

9. His Dad and Mom- at least we hope!

I think this pretty much catches you up in the life of Mr. Grady. As far as we go, we are moving into a condo this weekend, and we are just enjoying the joys of parenthood. Nothing is better in the whole wide world!!!!

So after a pretty interesting set of circumstances, my sister Valerie gave birth to Grady's cousin Max on July 2nd. Besides little Max arriving almost 2 weeks early, my sisters placenta had stopped working, so our cute little Max came out at 4 pounds 14 ounces and 17 inches long. Amazingly enough, his lungs were fully developed and he was able to go home with his mom and dad 2 days after his birth. This little boy is so adorable and such a trooper.

Grady LOVES little Max. Grady also LOVES to wave his hands and feet ALL over the place, and when we laid him and Max by each other I told Grady not to hit little Max but my little 2 month old didn't listen to me and hit Max right in the face. SORRY Max, I promise he will be nice when he's a little older.

So, for those of you who haven't heard our families story it's quite crazy. On both mine and Eli's sides of the family no one was married or had kids, then within one year Eli and I, my sister and two of Eli's sisters got married. Then we found out that we were having a baby in May, Eli's sisters were having babies in June and July and my little sister was having a baby July. So within two years, we've had quite the additions to our families. We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of all the other cousins, and last Sunday we got the first one! Paul and Katy had their little girl Avery Rose!!!! We are so excited, and can't wait to see her in person! Congrats you guys we love you!

Eli has already started teaching him to bat as a lefty, and when he is laying on his chest only lets him look the way a lefty would look when batting??? Eli also does exercises with him. GRADY TAIT SLESK

We welcomed Grady into the world on Mother's Day, May 11, 2008. He was born at 5:30 P.M., weighs 7 pounds, and is 20 inches long. He is a beautiful healthy baby as you can see in the pictures. In the morning, Brittany felt it was time to go to the hospital, and after a few hours of contractions, Grady was born.

As the due date for the baby gets closer, and I get more and more excited (and emotional) :) I can't help but think of how blessed I truly am. Even though pregnancy is hard at times, I can't help but think every day how big of a miracle it is, and how lucky I am to be able to have a baby and be a mom! I am so thankful for all the many, many other blessings that I have. I have been so blessed with the family and friends that have been placed in my life, all of you are so amazing, thank you so much for all of your love and your support! And I feel especially blessed to have such an amazing, loving and supporting husband. I don't know what I did to deserve him, but he is so incredible and I feel so lucky to have him as my companion. He will be the best dad ever, (sorry all you other dad's)! :) Anyway, I just felt like I needed to share my thoughts and thank yous with all of you! So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, and THANK YOU!

Eli has been really into puzzles lately and this is one we finished a couple weeks ago. It was 1500 pieces of fun! Eli chewed seeds the whole time we were working on it, and despite my protest kept all of the seeds. GROSS, but he promised once he got to 15 bottles he will throw them away. I think it's a boy thing!

I have started to collect some things for the baby, I have so much fun even though it is really hard to find boy stuff. Everytime I get stuff for him though, it makes me that much more excited to get him here! I have tried to get him stuff that Eli will approve of, so far so good!

Ok, now to the baby!!!! So Eli has been taking pictures of my growing belly and I was told I was in trouble if I didn't put them up, so unfortunately here they are. We also got our crib put up, a little early I know, but we (ok I) am just too excited. We are at 20 weeks and on Friday, the 28th, we find out if we are going to have a little baseball player or a Hello Kitty lover! Anyone want to venture a guess?

This Christmas we have been super busy doing fun things! We went to festival of trees, which was really cool. They have a bunch of trees that people decorate and sell, and all the proceeds go to a cancer foundation in Utah. We also went to a Christmas concert, and have gone to many fun Christmas parties! We love Christmas and are so thankful for the birth of our Savior! What a wonderful thing to celebrate!

Our Trip to California

We went to California in August for our one year anniversary. We had a blast! We even got to see Josh and Natasha and Eli's baseball friend Pepe. We went to a Dodgers game and even got a wave from their starter Chad Penne. We got to see the LA Temple and did a session at the Newport Beach Temple, which was being built while Eli was on his mission. It was beautiful! It was hard to come back (except Eli was glad to get away from the traffic) :)
